Here we compare two popular options, the Road King® and Street Glide®.

If you’re considering one of these two bikes, here’s a quick summary of the differences.

BASE MODEL MSRP*

  • Road King -- $18,999 for Vivid Black, $19,449 for color, $19,799 for two-tone paint and $21,399 for Hard Candy Custom
  • Street Glide -- $20,999 for Vivid Black, $21,499 for color and $23,999 for Hard Candy Custom

Both have the option of ABS and a security system for an additional fee. Cruise control comes standard on both.

ROAD KING® AND STREET GLIDE® ENGINE COMPARISON


Both Road King® and Street Glide® have the same Milwaukee-Eight® 107 engine. They come with an identical engine displacement, compression ratio, ESPFI fuel system and exhaust. 

ROAD KING® AND STREET GLIDE® DIMENSIONS COMPARISON


Both bikes have the same length at 96.5 inches. The laden seat height is slightly lower on the Street Glide® at 26.1 inches. Each has a six gallon fuel capacity, but the Street Glide® ships two pounds lighter. Add oil and other fluids and it’s seven pounds lighter in running order. 

PERFORMANCE AND INFOTAINMENT COMPARISON


Both bikes are prized for their power and handling. Road King® has a slightly greater lean angle. Both have a fuel economy around 45 miles per gallon. Road King® comes with Impeller Cast Aluminum wheels, while Street Glide’s® are Enforcer Cast Aluminum.

Street Glide® comes standard with a Boom!™ Infotainment system.
